Old Faithful Geyser Erupting (Be sure to click and run the video)







Please click the link or photo above, to enjoy the video of Old Faithful erupting July 2013.  On this particular day the eruptions were occurring about every 90 minutes.

A minimum height eruption is around 90 feet, a maximum eruption blasts steam and water 185 feet in the air. An average height of an eruption is 145 feet. 

For a comparison to those that have backpacked with me into the Grand Canyon Havasu Falls area...a minimum eruption blasts water and steam nearly the height of Havasu Falls.  While a maximum eruption blows the water and steam to nearly the height of Mooney Falls.
