Pays to be prepared

On my recent vehicle adventure things you don't want to happen, did.

I always use a check list. One of the vehicle safety checks is to insure you have a good spare tire and that it is properly inflated.  One for your tow vehicle as well as any towed trailer.

With over 2000 miles already behind me the inevitable was bound to happen.  Took a nail or small peice of metal in the tire.  Heard the hiss during a stop, while doing a safety check.  Something else that any traveler should perform regularly.

What could have been a bad situation, was in fact only a minor inconvenience. The spare tire is on, and I will be able to have the other repaired. I am glad I heeded my own advice about checking the spare before departure!
