This pan is considered a "Chicken Fryer".  Smooth surfaced, more smooth than a modern day Lodge type cast iron.  Flat bottom with no raised heat ring. The bottom is marked at 12 o'clock from the handle with "MADE IN USA".  The bottom is further marked at 6 o'clock with "No.8" and under that "10 5/8 IN".  The handle has an angular ridge on the underside.

There are no visible identifying markings or numbers of any sort, on the lid.  Though on the underside of the lid there is a pattern on dots.  The dots are actually concave dots.  That lid fits the bottom tightly and appears to be an original mate.
